I’m a professional photographer and videographer with over thirty years experience of working for national and regional news organisations.
I began my career as a freelance photographer, worked for regional newspapers, became a freelance then staff photographer for Reuters covering news and sport across the UK and Europe and currently work as a freelance sports photographer for The Daily Mail.
During that time I have covered major sporting events including The Olympics, Commonwealth Games, Euro 2000 Football Tournament, The Open Golf, Champions League Final, Wimbledon Tennis Championships, the Rugby World Cup, Cricket World Cup and The Ashes. I have had photographs published in all the UK national newspapers, many major newspapers across the world and TIME Magazine.
In 2007 I won the Barclays Photographer of the season award for my coverage of Premiership football and in 1991 I won the Birmingham Press Club Best Sports Photograph Award. As well as sports coverage, I have a passion for photographing the Arts and have covered a wide range of theatre performances and festivals.
In recent years I have moved into videography of both sporting and arts events and apply the same high standards in creating moving images as I do in still images. I pride myself on my professionalism and creativity and enjoy working with clients and subjects to get the best possible results from every assignment.
I’m happy to work with you and your organisation to develop ideas and turn them into high quality photographs or films. I am based in West Yorkshire but am happy to cover all areas of the UK. Please contact me on 07880 782 719 or firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss your requirements.
